Ultravox and the full moon

... the debut in the most important musical event of the year, that is the Christmas concert, for the Ultravox (see photo), the new group directed by Massimo Montanari. Indeed, for the event not even one vacant seat could be found in the main church of the mountain town...
The performance of Montanari's group is full of surprises. Not only he can make his choristers sing the songs they studied, he makes them perform with choreographies and a good pinch of humor. Beautiful arrangements by the conductor who has made 30 rebel singers behave for a year, by imposing a really impressive tour de force of study two, three times a week for thorough repertoire preparation. But the choristers themselves (sopranos, altos, tenors and basses of all ages) are the first to get amused, even when singing the beautiful 'White Christmas' means wearing funny Santa caps.

The Christmas Concert

At the parish church of Sasso, today, at 20.45, there is a Christmas concert featuring three choirs and one band. 'Bignardi' Band of Monzuno, directed by the maestro Alessandro Marchi, accompanies the voices of Ultravox Choir of Loiano, directed by the maestro Massimo Montanari; of Aurelio Marchi chorale, directed by Sebastiano Salomoni; and of the Choir of the Association Giuseppe Torelli of Sasso Marconi, directed by Silvia Vacchi. The program includes Christmas classics and popular carols. Admittance is free. The event is an initiative of the Aemil Banca's Stockholders Committee of Sasso. f.f.

'La Cisterna' of Monghidoro filled up this summer

Ten events for a total of over two thousand spectators. Thanks to a varied program, skilled artists, the historical charm of such a stage as the 1500's olivetan cloister of San Michele ad Alpes monastery. Excellent results for the 'La Cisterna del 2001' program of music, movies and poetry...
